For the first time in the history of Uzbekistan: NGOs implement the construction of a new school building

The International Women’s Public Foundation “Sharq Ayoli”/ Woman of East, in cooperation with the Good Neighbors International Foundation (Republic of Korea), continues the implementation of a socially significant grant project for the construction of a new educational building with a capacity of 240 students for Secondary General Education School No. 24 in the Akkurgan District of the Tashkent Region.

This project is unprecedented for Uzbekistan, as for the first time non-governmental non-profit organizations (NGOs) are acting as the initiators and implementers of the construction of a full-scale school building.

The construction aims to create modern and comfortable learning conditions for students in rural areas and represents a significant contribution of Uzbekistan’s NGOs to the sustainable development of the education system and the improvement of the population’s quality of life.
